iPhone 13 to launch at the end of September 2021, no delay this year

The iPhone 13 will be announced at the end of September 2021, announces a renowned analyst. Unlike last year, Apple would not be forced to postpone the presentation of its new smartphones for several weeks. The Cupertino company visibly escapes the shortage of chips that affects the entire industry.

iPhone 13 to launch at the end of September 2021, no delay this year

Remember last year, Apple announced the iPhone 12 at a keynote in October 2021. As was already the case in 2017, the new iPhones then hit the market in two stages. The iPhone 12 Pro Max and Mini have only been available for sale since the beginning of November, compared to the end of October for the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro. The health crisis had forced the Cupertino giant to depart from its usual launch schedule.

According to analysts at Wedbush, Apple would be able to return to its traditional schedule this year. "We got more detailed information from our build supply chain research," said Dan Ives, an analyst at Wedbush, in a report released by MacRumors. Under these conditions, the expert ensures that the iPhone 13 will be announced and marketed at the end of September 2021 or even early October.

THE CHIPS SHORTAGE WILL NOT DELAY THE RELEASE OF THE IPHONE 13

According to the report, Apple is escaping the chip shortage that is crippling the entire electronics industry. This component shortage has already crippled the plans of several smartphone makers, including Samsung. The "silicon crisis" forces the South Korean giant to ignore the Galaxy Note 21 this year. The smartphone would not be released until 2022. Realme and Xiaomi are also affected by the situation. According to Qualcomm, the shortage is expected to continue until the end of the year.

According to Dan Ives, the production of the iPhone 13 promises to be simpler and more fluid than that of the iPhone 12 last year. This year, Apple broadly resumes the design inaugurated in 2020 (including flat edges), which simplifies the work of production lines. Finally, the report confirms several key points from the iPhone 13 datasheet, including a lidar scanner on all models, 1TB of internal storage on high-end variants, and a 120Hz ProMotion display.
