Oneplus 10 Pro Price, Technical Sheet, Release Date, Everything We Know

The OnePlus 10 and the OnePlus 10 Pro, two new high-end smartphones from OnePlus, will be released in 2022. This current generation, while not groundbreaking, delivers some nice enhancements. Everything you need to know about smartphones is right here.

Oneplus 10 Pro

OnePlus will likely release two new smartphones, the OnePlus 10 and 10 Pro, as it did in 2021. They'll be the direct successors to the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro and should continue to provide attractive value in the high-end sector. For the time being, OnePlus has only officially introduced one smartphone, the OnePlus 10 Pro, in China at the beginning of January.

When Will the OnePlus 10 Be Available?

On January 11, 2022, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 10 and 10 Pro in China. OnePlus eventually opted to launch its smartphone in stages. As a result, the OnePlus 10 Pro arrived much sooner than prior models, generally released in the second quarter. We will have to wait a few months longer for the smartphone to arrive in India. You may get an announcement in March.

How Does the OnePlus 10 Look?

The design of OnePlus's OnePlus 10 Pro has undergone considerable alterations. Indeed, the early renderings revealed that OnePlus chose a fresh rear design for its smartphones this year, allowing it to stand out more from its competition. The smartphone weighs 200.5 grams and has dimensions 163 x 73.9 x 8.55 mm.

The OnePlus 10 Pro does include a large square picture module rather than a rectangular one. It spills over the edge of a smartphone, such as the Galaxy S21 and the Hasselblad logo. As a reminder, the Chinese manufacturer has had a three-year partnership with the Swedish brand since the OnePlus 9.

The rest of the smartphone is nearly identical to its predecessor, except for a screen with a punch in the upper left corner, which is not IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. A few days before its debut, OnePlus confirmed the smartphone's design.

Which Screen Do I Get for the OnePlus 10?

The OnePlus 10 Pro's screen is nearly identical to that of the OnePlus 9 Pro. A 6.7-inch AMOLED E4 QHD + panel with a maximum frequency of 120 Hz is still available. It uses LTPO (low-temperature polycrystalline oxide thin-film transistor) technology to save battery power by dynamically varying the refresh rate from 1 Hz to 120 Hz based on the information displayed.

OnePlus uses LTPO 2.0 for the first time, which is always more energy efficient. We don't have any details on the screen of the traditional OnePlus 10. However, the OnePlus 9 had a 6.55-inch FHD + 120 Hz display. Instead of Gorilla Glass 5, the OnePlus 10 Pro is protected by Gorilla Glass, as are most of their competitors.

The OnePlus 10 Pro display is also the first to use Dual Color Calibration technology, enabling natural and accurate color reproduction at two distinct brightness levels (high and low).

What Is the OnePlus 10’s Performance?

In 2022, the OnePlus 10 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm's next high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU, codenamed 'Waipo,' available under the model number SM8450. It's made by Samsung and engraved in 4 nm, the same as the MediaTek Dimensity 9000. But it's a little more powerful because of a slightly more advanced TSMC-signed burning process.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC is based on the latest ARM V9 architecture, which promises up to 30% better performance than the Snapdragon 888 in the OnePlus 9 Pro. The CPU has eight cores, with one high-performance Cortex-X2 core running at 3.0 GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores running at 2.50 GHz, and four energy-efficient Cortex-A510 cores running at 1.8 GHz.

Because they are all significantly more energy-efficient than the previous generation, we should entitle to a tiny increase in autonomy. On the GPU front, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 features an Adreno 730, which offers a 30 percent performance boost. A Snapdragon X65 provides connectivity.

The latter has a 5G download speed of up to 10 GB/s and is Wi-Fi 6E. Bluetooth 5.2 and Bluetooth LE compatible. Finally, depending on the configuration, the OnePlus 10 Pro is powered by 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage.

OnePlus 10 Battery, Autonomy, and Charging

The OnePlus 10 Pro should have better battery life than the OnePlus 9 Pro. Thanks to a slightly larger 5000 mAh battery against 4500 mAh on the prior version. Because the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro share the same battery, the OnePlus 10's battery is likely to increase to 5,000 mAh as well.

As a result, we anticipate improved battery life on the two OnePlus 10 versions than on the OnePlus 9. The OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro received 65W Warp Charge 65T wired charging for fast charging. OnePlus is using OPPO's more powerful 80W SuperVOOC Flash Charge wired fast charging this year. The OnePlus 10 Pro should charge faster.

This was confirmed by OnePlus itself when the company released the smartphone's specifications prior to its debut. As a result, the OnePlus 10 Pro has the same rapid charging capabilities as the upcoming OPPO Find X4 Pro. It takes only 32 minutes to charge the smartphone fully.

The OnePlus 10 Pro, like the previous generation, is compatible with 50W AirVOOC Wireless Flash Charge wireless charging. In 47 minutes, the latter can fully charge the device's battery. Finally, unlike Samsung and Apple, OnePlus has included an 80W power adaptor with the smartphone.

The Camera On OnePlus 10

The OnePlus 10 Pro's photo setup isn't significantly different from the OnePlus 9 Pro's. Indeed, the OnePlus 10 Pro relies on three sensors this year. The smartphone does not include a 2 MP macro sensor. The ultra-wide-angle sensor, like its competitors, can now handle macro photography.

We have a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom. A 32 MP sensor will take selfies, compared to 16 MP on the OnePlus 9 Pro. Just before the actual launch of the smartphone, OnePlus released more information on the photo.

The OnePlus 10 Pro features the Hasselblad camera's second generation. It includes a new feature called "OnePlus Billion Collor," allowing Hasselblad's "Natural Color Calibration" to apply to more than a billion hues.

The smartphone can take 10-bit images with more natural colors. OnePlus claims that the OnePlus 9 Pro has 25% more DCI-P3 color space than the OnePlus 9 Pro. All smartphone cameras will work with this technology. This one, like the Realme GT 2 Pro, has a 150-degree field of view in terms of ultra-wide-angle.

OnePlus also announced that the ultra-wide-angle camera could capture "fisheye" shots, giving photographers a new perspective. A second set with a more standard 110-degree field of vision will be available on the OnePlus 10 Pro. There are new photo modes, including a new 12-bit RAW+ format.

Higher-quality photo files with more dynamic range and noise reduction would be possible with the latter. A new "Movie Mode" also allows you to change the ISO, shutter speed, and other settings while recording video. Finally, the smartphone can shoot in LOG format without a predefined profile, giving aspiring videographers more editing options.

What Is the OS for the OnePlus 10 Pro?

The OnePlus 10 Pro sold with Oppo's ColorOS 12 overlay in China. OnePlus has already revealed that the smartphone will be available in India with OxygenOS 12, its own overlay. According to leaker Yogesh Brar, the OnePlus 10 Pro will not benefit from the new unified OS that OnePlus and Oppo are developing jointly. However, another leaker, Mukul Sharma, discovered that this unified OS might very well be called H2O OS. This is clearly a reference to the OxygenOS overlay's previous moniker in China, HydrogenOS.

What Does the OnePlus 10 Cost?

Since OnePlus opted to lower the price of its smartphone this year, the pricing of the OnePlus 10 Pro is considerably different from those of the OnePlus 9. Indeed, the version with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage costs 4699 yuan. The version with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage costs 4999 yuan. The version with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage costs 5299 yuan.

As a result, the smartphone will be substantially less expensive than the OnePlus 9 Pro. However, Last year, One Plus 9 Pro retailed for 4999 yuan. Volcanic Black and Emerald Forest are the two colors available.
